INCENSE
Herbs are sustainably harvested from either the wild or native gardens and then carefully dried before incorporation in our two brands of premium incense. Earthstar Mists incense blends combine potent aromatic plants to offer unique incense experiences with a loving attention to detail. Trail’s Rest Wildcraft celebrates herbs by sustainably harvesting them from the wild* and offering them as testaments to their beauty, without any additional ingredients and only the most minimal processing.
AROMATHERAPY
 Here is information about the different kinds of aromatherapy products I currently to offer:Trail Spray: This category of pump spray aromatherapy has been formulated to either aid you on the trail, in the wilderness, or to bring some of the wilderness back to the home without all those pesky flies and termites. Earthstar Mists: This category of pump spray (and maybe oil) aromatherapy was made with energy workers, massage therapists and other mind-body workers in mind. These more concentrated formulas are intended to help bolster, cleanse and/or enhance. House Spray: This sub-category of pump spray aromatherapy has been formulated to primarily bring unique aromas into the home, a workplace or wherever you happen to be. These are typically designed to help mask or eliminate odors while also (usually) paying homage to nature. |
Aroma Therapy Sprays
Earthstar Mist: The scent that inspired the brand name. This formula was originally intended to be a more intense version of Ranger Juice, but turned into something else along the way. This complex formula of over 5 different plants brings a soothing vetiver-like scent (without actually having any vetiver in it) that is very grounding and cleansing. It was noted as a favorite by friends in Thousand Oaks, CA.***out of stock***Mountain’s Song: This variation of Chumash Wilderness adds Ponderosa Pine and Douglas Fir to sweep the beautiful scent to higher elevations for a grounding but invigorating experience.
Super Cedar: It was a simple premise: combine the incredible scent of Incense-Cedar with the spicy, classic scent of Atlas Cedar. The result was so profound that it well earned the alliterative name of the Super Cedar formula.
Calocedrus Lavendula: By chance, this formula that combines English Lavender and California Incense-Cedar turned out to be a wonderful aromatherapy tool.

A Touch of Gray – A personal interest, the many varieties of sage that grow in California are beautiful, and offer an array of scents. Blended together, they offer a wonderfully spicy and earthy smoke. Included are the two native Gray Sages (Salvia Leucophylla and Salvia Clevelandii), White Sage (Salvia Apiana), Black Sage (Salvia Mellifera), Santa Rosa Sage (Salvia Brandigees), Munz’s Sage (Salvia Munzii), and Hummingbird or Pitcher Sage (Salvia Spathacea).
Coniferoust - These ancient and beautifully stalwart plants have been around for millions of years, and may be considered a massive success in survival. California offers many varieties in its forests, with sweet, piny and cedarous aromas. This smoke tends to relate favorably to many a woodlands campfire. This blend can vary based on the season and availability of needles, but always from California native conifers.
California Sagebrush is another identifying smell of the California Chaparral, with its sagey, piney scent. While not a true sage, this California classic, along with other sagebrushes, was so distinctive with its pale green-gray foliage, aromatic and medicinal properties that it earned an honorary sage mention in its common name classification. Artemisia Californica offers a lovely, complex smoke that is so identifying with the rugged beauty of California’s Sage Scrub.
Hummingbird Sage, sometimes called Pitcher Sage, is a common resident of Southern California’s Oak Woodland habitats. Salvia Spathacea often makes itself home under the shade of oak trees. Surprisingly rugged and tolerant for its jade green foliage and big, bright flowers, it often forms colonies that spread by underground stems, called rhizomes. The foliage’s spicy yet fruity aroma is mirrored by an even spicier fruity smoke. This is an often overlooked jewel of the California Oak Woodlands.
